Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Direct Hire A permanent pharmacist opportunity is available in the retail setting of a well-established pharmacy located in Sterling, IL. This role focuses on the accurate evaluation, preparation, and dispensing of medications while adhering to federal, state, and facility standards. The position follows a Monday to Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, supporting a balanced workweek.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify and dispense prescribed medications in compliance with legal and professional guidelines. Perform medication reconciliation processes to ensure a seamless continuum of patient care upon discharge. Provide excellent customer service and clinical care focused on patient well-being. Consult patients on prescribed medications, including dosage, frequency, special requirements, and potential drug interactions. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pharmacy laws and practices.
Desired Qualifications:
Active Pharmacist license in Illinois. Minimum of 1 year of experience as a pharmacist. Strong commitment to clinical accuracy and customer-focused care in a retail pharmacy environment.
