Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract Pharmacist opportunity available in East Dubuque, IL, for an 8-week retail assignment in nearby Galena, Illinois. This role offers the chance to support a well-established pharmacy team during a transitional period, with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.

Hours:

Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Responsibilities:

Dispense medications accurately and safely under the direct supervision of the pharmacy manager. Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and proper regimen adherence. Respond to patient inquiries and resolve concerns professionally in line with company policies. Maintain pharmacy stock levels, including controlled substances, and manage inventory records. Address third-party insurance coverage questions and resolve patient-related issues promptly. Work closely with an experienced pharmacy technician proficient in Pioneer dispensing software.

Qualifications:

Active and clear pharmacist license in the state of Illinois. Minimum of 1 year retail pharmacy experience. Familiarity with Pioneer software preferred but not required. Strong communication skills and attention to detail. This opportunity is ideal for pharmacists comfortable with short-term contracts and able to relocate or travel temporarily.
