Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract Seeking two skilled Pharmacists for a 13-week contract opportunity supporting pharmacy operations within a warehouse setting. This role focuses on ensuring efficient management and distribution of pharmaceutical products while maintaining stringent compliance and quality standards.

Itasca, IL Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 10:30 AM - 7:00
PM Core Responsibilities:
Oversee receipt, storage, and distribution of medications, including refrigerated and specialty items. Manage inventory levels by ordering medications and supplies to minimize waste and expired products. Ensure all storage meets USP standards and complies with state and federal regulations. Verify medication orders prior to preparation and shipment. Supervise pharmacy technicians handling inventory, picking, packing, and shipping tasks. Collaborate with sterile compounding pharmacists and technicians to maintain adequate medication and supply availability. Review and document controlled substance inventory accurately. Perform cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and quality assurance audits. Work closely with purchasing, nursing, and operations units to facilitate timely medication delivery. Utilize pharmacy software and inventory management systems for tracking purposes.
Qualifications:
Active, clear Illinois Pharmacist license. Some knowledge or experience with IV medication preferred. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and supervisory skills. Familiarity with pharmacy compliance standards and inventory management best practices.
