Pharmacist I#26-11463 North Chicago, IL All On-site Job Description Main priorities:
  • must be licensed (add license number to resume)
  • experience in retail/mail order/specialty preferred but not required
  • ambitious and looking to grow/learn
  • comfortable with contractor pay structure
Description:
What shift? Any 8hr shift between 7 am to 7:30 pm, it will rotate every 2 weeks For past employment tenure, HM has indicated the following: I prefer at least one year history and prefer it to be with a retail organization i.e. Walgreens/CVS Work Schedule (Define days,# of hours)/ Is Overtime offered or required? Mon-Friday
  • 8 hour shift.
Shifts will be in increments of 8.5 hrs. with 30min lunch and can vary from 7am to 7:30pm i.e., 7-3:30, 9-5:30, 11-7:30 Over time is not required, however we do offer upon business needs 8-4:30 training schedule Rotating schedule every 1 week. Reviews prescriptions issued by Physician, or other authorized prescriber to assure accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients needed. Directs pharmacy workers engaged in mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals. Answers questions and provides information to pharmacy customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage or pharmaceuticals. Maintains established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs. Enters data such as patient name, prescribed medication and cost, to maintain pharmacy files, charge system, and inventory. Assays medications to determine identity, purity, and strength. Instructs interns and other medical personnel on matters pertaining to pharmacy. 4-7 years of experience.

Years of experience/education and/or certifications required:
  • Candidates MUST be comfortable being on their feet all day. No heavy lifting, however, they will be pushing carts that may be heavy
  • no more than 30lbs. What are the top 3-5 skills requirements should this person have?
  • MUST be Licensed in IL
  • Retail Pharmacy experience (i.e. CVS, Walgreens, Target etc)
  • Multi-tasking

  • Self-motivating

  • How much time will be spend pushing carts? Is the environment they will be working in a distribution center/warehouse? Not much time, maybe every few hours (3 to 4)
  • they may have to push 1 cart. They will be working in a distribution area.
  • Will they be interacting with patients and/or providers? Not initially, but possible in the future
  • Would you consider a candidate who has industrial pharmacy background rather than experience in retail
  • if they have handled high volume orders?

Maintains established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs.
