Days or Nights Position Overview The Pharmacist will support central pharmacy operations with a primary focus on medication product verification, safe medication dispensing, workflow coordination, and oversight of pharmacy technician workflow. This position is primarily focused on product verification and will work onsite 100% of the time. Responsibilities Use Epic Dispense Prep to verify and check medications Verify IVs, premade IVs, creams, insulin pens, and other medication products Verify medication kits, crash carts, prepackaged medications, and other pharmacy products Coordinate workflow within the central pharmacy Ensure crash carts are properly restocked Collaborate with physicians and pharmacy staff regarding medication therapy Document interventions in the EHR Oversee and redirect pharmacy technician workflow as needed Maintain safe and efficient medication dispensing practices Support medication inventory management and other central pharmacy needs
Team & Work Environment Central Pharmacy Day Shift:
5 pharmacists + 10 technicians
Evening Shift:
2 pharmacists + 5-6 technicians This pharmacist will serve as theprimary pharmacist overseeing central pharmacy operations Other pharmacists will primarily focus on order review within the EHR Will have oversight of technician workflow and may redirect technicians to pertinent tasks This position does not have direct supervisory responsibility for other individuals Training Approximately 2-3 weeks of training , depending on the pharmacist's experience and capabilities Training will focus primarily on product verification and central pharmacy workflow Contract Details 13-week contract Nights 5x8-hour shifts 100% onsite Position is open due to four overlapping FMLA leaves this winter Very likely to have at least one extension for a pharmacist who is performing well Ideal Candidate Experienced Pharmacist with strong medication verification skills Strong pharmacology and clinical decision-making knowledge Comfortable working in a central hospital pharmacy Experienced with EHR systems, preferably Epic Able to coordinate workflow and work effectively under pressure Strong commitment to medication safety and patient care Contact Roman Chrischilles Prolink Healthcare 513-930-1034 roman.chrischilles@prolinkstaff.com #
