Long-Term Acute Care Pharmacist Travel Contract

Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract An immediate travel opportunity is available for a pharmacist to support a long-term acute care hospital in Gem IN. This is a smaller, highly collaborative setting where your clinical and operational skills will be essential in maintaining safe and efficient pharmacy services. With a low census and a focused care model, this role offers a more controlled pace while still providing meaningful patient impact. You'll be working closely with a lean pharmacy team, making this an excellent opportunity for pharmacists who value autonomy and hands-on involvement in daily operations. Open to Non-Local candidates who need travel stipends. Responsibilities Verify medication orders and ensure accuracy in dispensing Perform IV compounding (non-chemotherapy) in accordance with safety standards Oversee and support pharmacy technician workflow Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff on medication therapies Manage automated dispensing systems and medication distribution Participate in on-call and weekend coverage (shared schedule) Ensure compliance with all regulatory and facility policies Work Hours Monday through Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (occasional need to stay later) On-call and weekend coverage required (shared with Pharmacy Manager) Experience Prior inpatient or hospital pharmacy experience required IV compounding experience required Experience in a long-term acute care or similar setting preferred Familiarity with Omnicell and HCS ePharmacy systems preferred Education Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Other Qualifications Active and valid Indiana Pharmacist License Ability to work independently in a small team environment Strong attention to detail and clinical judgment Full-time availability for the duration of the assignment to be considered for this Indiana travel pharmacist opportunity or send your resume directly to learn more about additional roles currently available.
