Job Description

MedScript LTC Pharmacy is looking for a staff pharmacist to join our team! The successful candidate will have intimate knowledge of federal and state pharmacy laws and guidelines, be a problem-solver, and be able to work well in a team environment. The primary purpose of the position is to provide routine and emergency comprehensive and accurate drug screening, information, processing, and dispensing services for various drug distribution systems to long term care facilities.

•This position qualifies for a sign-on bonus!

• Available shift: 7am-3:30pm Mon-Fri, one day every other weekend Job duties include: Initial review of new orders input by technicians against prescriptions Verify orders for appropriate dosage; reviewing reports on drug interactions and duplicate therapy Check final packaged product against the label Compound prescriptions as needed Consulting with medical professionals on patient therapies and outcomes Supervise pharmacy technicians and pharmacy interns as required Package and assist with shipping orders as needed Data entry of orders when necessary Assists the billing department to ensure all prescriptions are properly billed and charged Job requirements: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy with a PharmD. Must be licensed by the Indiana State Board of Pharmacy. Work within Scope of Practice, as appropriate. Two years pharmacy experience in long term care preferred but not required
