Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced and licensed Pharmacy Manager to oversee daily pharmacy operations at a behavioral health facility. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of clinical expertise, leadership skills, and regulatory knowledge to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient pharmacy services.
Key Pharmacy Manager Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, including staff supervision and workflow optimization Ensure compliance with all federal and state pharmacy laws and facility regulations Oversee medication management, inventory control, and ordering processes Lead and support a team of pharmacists and technicians Collaborate with medical staff, administrators, and nursing teams to ensure continuity of care Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness Maintain accurate documentation and records for audits and inspections Implement and uphold safety protocols and quality improvement initiatives
Pharmacy Manager Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy (RPh or PharmD required) Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in MA. Minimum of 3 years of hospital or behavioral health pharmacy experience (management experience preferred) Familiarity with automated dispensing systems and electronic medical records Strong understanding of pharmacy law, medication safety, and regulatory compliance
Pharmacy Manager Skills & Competencies:
Leadership and team management Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strategic thinking with attention to detail Ability to adapt in a fast-paced healthcare environment Proficient in pharmacy software and inventory systems
Physical Requirements:
Moderate physical activity, including standing, walking, and light lifting
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$67.00 - $69.00 per hour
