Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A night shift opportunity is available for a skilled Pharmacist to support patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. This contract role offers an engaging schedule of 7 days on followed by 7 days off, with hours from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM, perfect for professionals seeking a balanced work-life rhythm.
Location:
Cambridge, MA Responsibilities:
Accurately dispense prescription medications in accordance with established protocols. Review and verify healthcare provider orders for safety, dosage, and interactions. Collaborate with medical staff to optimize medication therapy for patients. Maintain proper documentation and adherence to regulatory standards. Provide medication counseling and support to nursing staff during night hours. Monitor inventory and ensure adequate drug supply levels are maintained. Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Licensed Pharmacist with current, unrestricted license to practice. Experience in hospital or clinical pharmacy settings preferred. Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and patient safety. Ability to work independently during overnight hours while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor. Familiarity with electronic health records and pharmacy management systems is a plus.
Schedule:
Night shift: 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM 7 days on, 7 days off rotation This contract position provides a great opportunity for pharmacists looking to hone their clinical skills in a specialized setting with a schedule conducive to focused work periods and ample time off.
