About the Job General Summary of Position
Evaluates pharmaceutical products that are compounded according to Policy and Procedure manuals. Oversees production completion and delivery time set forth by hospital and homecare needs. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Assists Lead IV Production Coordinator with training and orienting department staff. Maintains ongoing communication with associates to review programs provide feedback discuss new developments and exchange information.
Checks all compounding documents including mix reports and lot logs involved with production along with medications staged prior to entering the clean room. Provides double checks for all job functions described in policy and procedure manual for the clean room and prep room areas.
Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies procedures quality standards and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.
Directs coordinates and supervises daily production activities in the CIVAC pharmacy related to compounding and dispensing of drugs and coordinates work flow throughout the day.
Enhances professional growth and development and enriches personal knowledge and skill through participation in educational programs and affiliations that may be used for CE credit.
Keeps abreast of latest developments concerning new drugs or developments reported from research laboratories regarding drug usage.
Maintains effective working relationship with other departments.
Participates in the ongoing review maintenance and revision of the CIVAC policy and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned. Minimal Qualifications
Education Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy required orPharmD. required Experience 1-2 years 2 years pharmacy experience; experience in hospital or home health based pharmacy; required and
1-2 years Infusion homecare experience preferred Licenses and Certifications Pharmacist license in the State of Maryland. required Knowledge Skills and Abilities Working knowledge of various computer software applications. This position has a hiring range of USD $49.33 - USD $94.71 /Hr.
