Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our compounding pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. This position requires a strong foundation in clinical pharmacy practice, along with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. The Pharmacist will be responsible for overseeing compounding pharmacy technicians and dispensing activities, formula development, and serve as a liaison with prescribers. This is a great opportunity to learn compounding in a well established compounding pharmacy that makes both sterile and non-sterile medications. We have a unique business model with practitioners and an infusion suite on-site. We offer 10 hour shifts and our preference is to hire a 30 hour person, but would entertain the possibility of hiring a 40 hour per week person. The compatibility of the person is the critical piece. Responsibilities Review and interpret medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness. Provide clinical pharmacy services including drug therapy management and patient consultations. Oversee the compounding of medications in accordance with established policies, procedures and regulations. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes Maintain accurate records of medication dispensing and patient interactions. Stay updated on current pharmacological knowledge, including physiology and critical care practices. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and rules regarding compounding. Recommend supplements and treatment options that align with compounding and a personalized medicine approach. Requirements Pharmacist license in Michigan. Strong knowledge of clinical pharmacy principles, acute care, and systems management. Experience with compounding medications and aseptic technique is preferred. Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and collaboration with the healthcare team. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong team player with the ability to oversee pharmacy technicians and maintain positive relationships with all team members.
