Review and verify prescriptions from physicians and authorized prescribers for accuracy and appropriateness Determine formulas and ingredients required for compounding medications Compound sterile and non-sterile medications, ensuring adherence to standard formulas and protocols, including weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients accurately Oversee pharmacy staff involved in medication mixing, packaging, and labeling processes Dispense medications accurately and provide counseling to nursing facility staff regarding prescription and over-the-counter medications Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards in all pharmacy operations

Desired Experience:

Licensed pharmacist with experience in long-term care pharmacy settings Proficiency in compounding sterile and non-sterile medications Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations and medication management Ability to supervise pharmacy staff and coordinate workflow Excellent communication skills to effectively counsel nursing facility personnel
