Job Description
As a Staff Pharmacist at Walmart, you'll deliver safe, accurate, and efficient pharmacy services in a fast-paced retail environment. You will verify prescriptions, counsel patients, administer immunizations, and lead daily clinical and operational activities to ensure regulatory compliance and high-quality care. You'll collaborate with technicians and store leadership, leverage Walmart's tools and training to support clinical programs and adherence initiatives, and help build trusted relationships with patients and the community. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates. Responsibilities Verify and dispense prescriptions with a high level of accuracy and safety Provide patient counseling on medications, side effects, and adherence Administer immunizations and support clinical service programs Ensure compliance with federal and AR state pharmacy laws and regulations Oversee pharmacy technicians and support staff workflow Manage inventory, including controlled substances and ordering Resolve insurance and third-party claim issues Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation Collaborate with store leadership to meet performance and patient care goals Support continuous quality improvement and patient safety initiatives Required Skills Medication dispensing and verification Pharmacotherapy knowledge Drug utilization review (DUR) Immunization administration Patient counseling Pharmacy law and regulatory compliance Insurance and third-party claims processing Inventory and controlled substance management Electronic health record/pharmacy systems (e.g., Connexus, Enterprise Rx) Quality assurance and safety protocols
