Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract To Hire This opportunity is seeking a Pharmacist with expertise in Long Term Care (LTC) settings, offering a Contract to Hire position. The role is based locally in Lakeville, MN, with day and afternoon shifts available. The position requires a commitment to accuracy, patient care, and collaborative work with healthcare teams in a nursing facility environment.
Responsibilities:
Review prescriptions from physicians and authorized prescribers to ensure accuracy and proper medication formulation Compound sterile and non-sterile medications using established standards, including weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients Oversee pharmacy staff involved in mixing, packaging, and labeling medications Dispense medications in compliance with applicable regulations Counsel nursing facility staff on prescription and over-the-counter medication usage Maintain thorough documentation and support quality assurance practices within the pharmacy
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Licensed Pharmacist with current state licensure and good standing Experience in Long Term Care pharmacy or similar healthcare environments Knowledge of compounding sterile and non-sterile medications Strong attention to detail and accuracy in prescription review Ability to direct and collaborate with pharmacy staff effectively Excellent communication skills for counseling healthcare providers and nursing staff

Day and afternoon shifts available This Contract to Hire position starts ASAP, enabling a seamless transition into a rewarding role focused on improving patient outcomes through expert pharmacy services.
