Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A specialty pharmacy opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to support long-term care needs. This contract assignment is ideal for professionals with a background in specialty pharmacy services who are skilled in managing medication therapy and providing patient care in long-term care settings.
Location:
Owatonna, MN Duration:
13+ weeks
Hours:
24-40 hours per week
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Some weekends required
Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage pharmacy services for long-term care patients Verify and dispense medications in compliance with specialty pharmacy protocols Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy management Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to regulatory standards Provide patient education, focusing on medication use and safety Maintain immunization services aligned with certification requirements
Qualifications:
PharmD degree or equivalent professional pharmacy degree Certification in Immunization and CPR required Medication Therapy Management (MTM) certification preferred Previous experience in specialty and long-term care pharmacy settings Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively engage with multidisciplinary teams This assignment offers a structured schedule with the opportunity to utilize clinical expertise in a specialty pharmacy environment.
