Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Staff Pharmacist to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with medical documentation standards and medical terminology. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to review patient medication plans, monitor drug interactions, and report on patient conditions. Provide health education to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and lifestyle modifications to promote wellness. Maintain electronic health records (EHR) and manage medical documentation with precision and confidentiality. Assist in blood sampling procedures, CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS), and manual handling tasks within clinical settings such as surgery or plastic surgery units. Communicate effectively with nursing staff and other clinicians to coordinate patient care plans and report on patient status. Support diagnostic radiology teams by understanding medical terminology related to imaging procedures and assisting with medication management as needed. Qualifications Valid pharmacist license with current registration in the relevant jurisdiction. Prior experience in acute care environments or clinics is highly desirable. Demonstrated knowledge of EMR/EHR systems for managing electronic health records efficiently. Critical care experience preferred, with familiarity in handling complex medication regimens. Strong skills in client communication, medical documentation, and health education delivery. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR is required; additional certifications such as blood sampling or emergency response are advantageous. Experience working within plastic surgery, surgery units, or diagnostic radiology settings will be considered a plus.
