Pharmacist Responsibilities:
Dispense and bill for medications, following prescriptions issued by physicians, dentists and/or other authorized medical practitioners. Maintain records, such as pharmacy files, patient profiles, charge system files, inventories, control records and registries, narcotics and controlled drugs. Provide information and advice to physicians, nurses, other health care providers and patients regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage and proper medication storage. Plan, implement and maintain procedures for storing, mixing, packaging and labeling pharmaceuticals according to policy and legal requirements to ensure quality, security and proper disposal. Advise customers on the selection of medication brands, medical equipment and healthcare supplies. Establish relationships with customers. Review prescriptions to assure accuracy, to ascertain the needed ingredients and to evaluate their suitability. Participate in scheduled on-call rotation, providing pharmacist support during overnight and weekend hours. All other duties as assigned.Pharmacist Qualifications:
Must be a graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy and licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of MN by the State Board of Pharmacy. Must accumulate 30 hours of continuing educations credits biannually. Must have excellent time management skills.
