Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract To Hire A pharmacist opportunity is available in a long-term care setting located near Eden Prairie, MN. This contract-to-hire position offers day and afternoon shifts with a local schedule, starting as soon as possible.
Responsibilities:
Review prescriptions from physicians and authorized prescribers for accuracy. Determine appropriate formulas and ingredients to prepare medications. Compound sterile and non-sterile medications following standard formulas and processes such as weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients. Supervise pharmacy staff involved in mixing, packaging, and labeling medications. Dispense medications accurately and provide counseling to nursing facility staff on prescription and over-the-counter medications.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Licensed pharmacist with experience in long-term care pharmacy. Skillful in prescription review and compounding sterile/non-sterile medications. Strong leadership abilities to direct pharmacy technicians and support staff. Knowledgeable about medication safety and counseling practices for healthcare providers. Ability to work day or afternoon shifts in a long-term care environment.
