Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract This opportunity is for a staff pharmacist to support a 400-bed hospital with a dynamic schedule offering variable days and afternoons. The position includes working four 10-hour shifts per week, with the potential for a 7-on/7-off arrangement to provide more flexibility. This contract role is ideal for a licensed Missouri pharmacist interested in contributing to quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow Collaborate with nursing staff and physicians to provide expert pharmaceutical consultation Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems to manage medication records and dispensing processes Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standardsDesired Qualifications:
Current pharmacist license in Missouri is mandatory Experience with hospital pharmacy operations and order verification Familiarity with EPIC electronic health record system and Pyxis medication dispensing technology Strong communication skills to effectively consult with healthcare professionals Ability to adapt to variable schedules and work independentlySchedule:
