Job Description

Category Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Job Type All Job Types An urgent opening is available for an Interim Pharmacist in Charge/Director of Pharmacy to support an inpatient behavioral health facility in Columbia, MO. This role is critical to maintaining smooth pharmacy operations during the transition period until a permanent hire is made. The assignment starts on April 29, with two days of cross-training, followed by independent work beginning May 1.
Location:
Columbia, MO Schedule:
Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Includes a 30-minute unpaid meal break
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily pharmacy operations within the behavioral health setting Manage repackaging of medications using systems such as Milt/Medi-dose or HCL Load drugs into automated dispensing machines and run restock reports Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies Support staff and coordinate workflows to maintain efficiency and safety
Qualifications:
Valid Missouri pharmacist license required Experience with Omnicell automated dispensing systems preferred Familiarity with repackaging techniques and automated machine operations Strong organizational skills and attention to detail This opportunity is ideal for a pharmacist with leadership experience who can quickly adapt and maintain pharmacy functions in a behavioral health setting.
