Staff Pharmacist

Job description Company Description Hometown Pharmacy is a proudly independent pharmacy dedicated to serving patients in our community. Our experienced staff provide unmatched patient care, offering in-depth medication counseling and immunizations. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Pharmacist at Hometown Pharmacy in Doniphan, MO. The Pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing medications accurately, ensuring regulatory compliance, counseling patients on the proper use of prescriptions, managing inventory and medication therapy management services. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with healthcare providers to optimize patient care, supervising pharmacy technicians, and maintaining accurate medical records. Hours 4 days/week and every other Saturday Store hours 8:30-6:00 M-F and 8:30-12:30 Saturday (Closed Sunday) Benefits/Pay Simple IRA with employer match available at 1 year Employee health insurance available at 90 days Vacation time (negotiable) (ex. ~10 days to start) Pay (negotiable; based on experience) Qualifications Knowledge of prescription dispensing, pharmacy operations, and inventory management Proficiency in patient counseling and communication skills, including the ability to explain medical information clearly Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and compliance standards within the pharmaceutical industry Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively A pharmacist degree and a valid pharmacist license in Missouri Previous experience in a retail pharmacy or healthcare setting preferred, but no required.
