Job Description
Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract A temporary pharmacist position is available in Fulton, MO, supporting a state high-security psychiatric hospital pharmacy. This contract role begins in early September and will continue until a permanent pharmacist is hired. The pharmacy operates Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and is closed on all Missouri state holidays. No weekend or on-call coverage is required. Responsibilities include providing a pharmacist check for medication orders prepared by the pharmacy technician using the Parata ATP2 Packager. Duties involve verifying bags flagged by InspectRx, repackaging, correcting bags, refilling canisters, and performing barcode scanning checks on filled medications. Limited order verification is needed; therefore, behavioral health experience is not required. Pharmacist staff are available for troubleshooting support. Approximately three days of training on the Oracle/Cerner order entry system and automation equipment will be provided before starting.
