Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract This opportunity is ideal for a licensed Missouri pharmacist seeking a contract role in a hospital setting near Joplin, MO. The position involves working in a 400-bed facility and supporting pharmacy operations through order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, and consulting with nursing staff and physicians.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently Supervise and support pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow Consult with nurses and physicians to provide medication guidance and answer clinical questions Utilize electronic systems such as EPIC and Pyxis to manage medication dispensing and documentation
Qualifications:
Active Missouri Pharmacist license is required Experience with hospital pharmacy operations preferred Familiarity with EPIC and Pyxis systems is beneficial Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with clinical staff
Schedule:
Variable shifts including days and afternoons Four 10-hour shifts per week, with a possibility of a 7 on/7 off rotation This contract position offers a dynamic work environment in a well-established hospital setting.
