Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A strong hospital pharmacy opportunity is now available in the Springfield market for pharmacists looking to build or expand their inpatient experience within a large acute care setting. This position offers a flexible schedule with either 4x10-hour shifts or the possibility of a 7 on / 7 off rotation, making it an attractive option for pharmacists seeking both professional growth and schedule flexibility. You'll join a collaborative pharmacy environment where pharmacists play an active role in patient care, medication safety, and interdisciplinary support. The hospital utilizes advanced pharmacy systems and offers exposure to a wide variety of clinical cases in a fast-paced inpatient setting. Responsibilities Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and clinical appropriateness Supervise pharmacy technicians and support workflow efficiency Consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding medications and dosing Monitor patient medication profiles and assist with clinical interventions Support medication safety initiatives and pharmacy compliance standards Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for daily pharmacy operations Work Hours Variable day and afternoon shifts 4x10-hour schedule preferred Potential flexibility for a 7 on / 7 off rotation Experience Some inpatient or hospital pharmacy experience preferred Experience working in a fast-paced clinical environment is a plus Familiarity with EPIC and Pyxis systems preferred Education Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Other Qualifications Active and valid Missouri Pharmacist License Strong communication and clinical problem-solving skills Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams Full-time availability for the duration of the assignment to be considered for this Missouri pharmacist opportunity or send your resume directly to learn more about additional pharmacy openings currently available.
