Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract This opportunity is for a hospital pharmacist specializing in behavioral health and psychiatric care within a clinical pharmacy setting. The position supports medication management and safety in a behavioral health environment using medDispense and Azalea Health electronic health records.

Psychiatric Hospital Employment Type:
Contract (Immediate start - ending June 13th)
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM, no weekends
Responsibilities:
Verify and check medication orders with accuracy and attention to detail Perform pharmacy controls and maintain compliance with safety protocols Work independently as the solo pharmacist on-site, with support from pharmacy technicians Collaborate within the behavioral health team to ensure appropriate medication therapy
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Licensed pharmacist with experience in clinical or hospital pharmacy settings Familiarity with behavioral health or psychiatric pharmacy preferred Proficiency in using medDispense and Azalea Health EHR systems is a strong plus Ability to work independently and make clinical decisions confidently Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety This role is an excellent short-term contract for pharmacists skilled in clinical verification and behavioral health pharmacy practice.
