Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract Join a healthcare team focused on behavioral health as a Clinical Pharmacist in a hospital setting located in Magnolia, MS. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a specialized psychiatric environment, providing critical pharmaceutical care that supports patient well-being and safety.
Location:
Magnolia, Mississippi Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM (No weekends)
Contract Duration:
Immediate start through June 13th
System:
medDispense and Azalea Health (EHR)
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough checking and verification of medication orders to ensure accuracy and patient safety Perform inventory controls and manage pharmaceutical stock effectively Operate as the sole pharmacist on duty, utilizing pharmacy technician support for operational tasks Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to support behavioral health patient care needs
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Licensed Pharmacist with clinical pharmacy experience, ideally within behavioral health or psychiatric settings Proficient in using electronic health record systems, preferably medDispense and Azalea Health Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a solo pharmacist role Excellent communication skills and capacity to work collaboratively with pharmacy technicians and healthcare staff This role is a valuable opportunity to make a meaningful impact in behavioral health pharmacy operations with a supportive tech team.
