Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract A hospital pharmacist position is available in a behavioral health setting with a contract term through June 13th. This role offers experience in clinical pharmacy within a specialized psychiatric environment, supporting patient care through accurate medication verification and management.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform medication order checking and verification to ensure accuracy and safety Conduct medication control processes in compliance with hospital policies Serve as the sole pharmacist, overseeing pharmacy operations during business hours Collaborate effectively with pharmacy technicians and clinical staff for seamless workflow
Required Qualifications:
Licensure as a Pharmacist in the state of Mississippi Experience in behavioral health or psychiatric pharmacy preferred Familiarity with medDispense and Azalea Health electronic health records (EHR) systems Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as the solo pharmacist onsite
Location:
Summit, Mississippi Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, no weekend shifts This contract role provides an excellent opportunity to apply clinical pharmacy skills in a behavioral health hospital setting.
