Job Description

The Clinical Pharmacist III Ambulatory Retail Specialty works in a specialized ambulatory or community pharmacy area. Working under moderate supervision, this role provides patient care in their specialty area, engages with providers, pharmacy staff and may supervise patient advocates and/or pharmacy technicians.
Essential Job Function:
Interprets and follows physician instructions to deliver the correct care to the correct patient. Provides and monitors drug utilization and medication-related information to healthcare professionals, patients and the public. Supervises and evaluates pharmacy technicians. Precepts students and residents. Functions at a higher knowledge base and competency and spends the majority of time addressing complex situations or works on project improvement initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned.

Doctor of Pharmacy or BS Pharm.

Licensure/Certification/Listing:
Required:
Registered Pharmacist in NC within 60 days of hire. BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider BCPS or Board Certification in a specialty area.
