Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract This opportunity is ideal for a pharmacist experienced in acute care settings, particularly those familiar with TPN and IV antibiotic management within a rehabilitation hospital environment. The role is based in Bellevue, NE, at a specialized rehab hospital without an ER or OB unit, focusing exclusively on complex pharmacotherapy for inpatients undergoing rehabilitation therapy.
Responsibilities include:
Managing and verifying medication orders, primarily TPNs and IV antibiotics Collaborating with clinical staff on the rehab unit, where patients typically have therapy sessions lasting around three hours per shift Ensuring accurate medication dispensing and patient safety within the rehab hospital setting Utilizing and learning the Altera Sunrise system, with training provided to enhance familiarity Supporting pharmacy operations Monday through Friday, with Saturday shifts from 8 AM to 4 PM and participation in rotating weekend coverage
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Active Nebraska pharmacist license is required Prior experience in managing TPNs and IV antibiotics preferred, though willingness to train is available Ability to quickly integrate and adapt to the fast-paced rehab hospital pharmacy environment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in medication distribution
