Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract Provide expert pharmaceutical care as a Night Shift Pharmacist at a 120-bed Level III trauma center in Norfolk, NE. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to support critical inpatient and emergency department operations during overnight hours. Join a well-resourced team with pharmacy technician support and advanced technology systems.
Location:
Norfolk, Nebraska Schedule:
Night shift, 8:00 PM to 7:00 AM 7 days on, 7 days off (Wednesday to Tuesday)
Responsibilities:
Validate medication orders and oversee kinetic dosing Review medications prior to distribution to ensure safety and accuracy Provide timely responses to nursing staff inquiries Supervise compounding activities during night hours Fill outpatient prescriptions for emergency department patients overnight
Qualifications:
Valid Nebraska pharmacist license required Minimum of 1 year inpatient pharmacy experience preferred Familiarity with EPIC electronic health record system ideal; training available Experience with Pyxis automated dispensing systems beneficial
