Responsibilities Dispense medications accurately while adhering to all state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations Provide expert consultation to healthcare professionals and patients regarding medication therapies, dosages, and potential side effects Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to tailor medication plans effectively Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, stock control, and medication compounding with aseptic technique when necessary Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulatory policies such as USP 797 standards for sterile preparations and HIPAA confidentiality policies Lead pharmacy teams by supervising technicians and supporting staff to maintain high standards of patient service and operational efficiency Administer immunizations and participate in medical management initiatives to improve patient health outcomes Utilize pharmacy software systems (PIS, EMR/EHR) for accurate recordkeeping, medication administration documentation, and inventory management Maintain up-to-date knowledge of drug regulation changes, healthcare compliance requirements, and physiology principles relevant to pharmacy practice Support patient care through effective communication, medication counseling, and education on drug interactions or contraindications Qualifications Valid pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate state licensing board Prior experience practicing as a pharmacist in acute care or hospital settings is highly desirable Demonstrated proficiency with pharmacy information systems (PIS), EMR/EHR systems, and pharmacy operations management software Strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and pharmacology principles Certification in basic life support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as immunizations or pain management are advantageous Excellent client communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence Ability to manage inventory effectively while ensuring pharmaceutical regulatory compliance Experience managing pharmacy teams or supervising technicians is preferred Join us in delivering outstanding pharmaceutical care that improves lives!
