Clinical Pharmacist

Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract This opportunity seeks experienced Clinical Pharmacists to support inpatient operations in a hospital setting. The assignment begins between April 27 and May 4, running for approximately 13 weeks. Evening shifts are scheduled from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM on an every-other-week basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Review, verify, and dispense medication orders accurately. Prepare sterile and hazardous medications in compliance with USP standards. Manage controlled substances and maintain proper documentation. Complete medication histories, reconciliation, and provide patient education. Perform clinical interventions, monitor drug therapies for optimal outcomes. Provide drug information and guidance to healthcare teams and patients.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Minimum of 1 year recent inpatient pharmacy experience required. Experience with Pyxis and carousel technology preferred but not mandatory. Proficiency in using EPIC electronic medical records system. Current, active New Jersey pharmacist license in hand. Fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including booster dose. Will consider first-time travel pharmacists.
