Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract Join a growing healthcare organization as a Community Pharmacist supporting the launch of a brand-new outpatient pharmacy. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the inaugural pharmacy team and help shape pharmacy services within a mission-driven Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) dedicated to serving underserved communities. With multiple pharmacy expansion projects already planned, this role offers strong long-term growth potential.

Monday through Saturday, 9:00 AM - 5:00
PM Pharmacy System:
MicroMerchant / PrimeRx Collaborative FQHC and 340B environment Opportunity to help launch a new pharmacy operation Key Responsibilities Verify and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently Counsel patients on medication use, adherence, and disease state management Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes Support 340B pharmacy operations and compliance initiatives Maintain accurate patient records and medication documentation Assist with workflow development and operational processes during pharmacy launch Provide exceptional customer service to a diverse patient population Ensure compliance with state, federal, and organizational pharmacy regulations Experience Required 1-2+ years of community or retail pharmacy experience Experience serving diverse patient populations preferred FQHC and/or 340B experience highly preferred but not required Experience with MicroMerchant or PrimeRx preferred but not required Strong patient counseling and communication skills Education & Licensure PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited program Active New Jersey Pharmacist license required Additional Qualifications Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred Passion for serving medically underserved communities Ability to thrive in a growing and evolving healthcare environment Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills Interest in long-term career growth within an expanding pharmacy network About the Organization Newark Community Health Centers (NCHC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center that provides affordable, high-quality healthcare services to underserved communities throughout the region.
