Category Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Job Type Contract A growing healthcare organization is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Manager / Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead the launch and ongoing operations of a new outpatient community pharmacy located in Newark, NJ. This contract-to-hire, full-time position offers a unique opportunity to build and oversee a high-performing pharmacy team while ensuring exceptional patient care and regulatory compliance. Anticipated start date is in August. Responsibilities include managing daily pharmacy workflow, supervising and mentoring staff, maintaining inventory and quality assurance programs, providing clinical oversight, and collaborating with healthcare providers and leadership to support the pharmacy's growth. This role is vital to establishing a strong community presence and delivering outstanding pharmacy services.
Schedule:
Full-Time Monday through Saturday Daytime operating hours
Qualifications:
Active New Jersey Pharmacist License Minimum 3 years' experience as a Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) Proven background in community pharmacy operations Leadership experience managing pharmacy staff Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred Familiarity with PrimeRx, MicroMerchant, or similar pharmacy systems is advantageous Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills Why this
