Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacist to support patient care in a critical access hospital setting near Taos Ski Valley, NM. This contract position offers the chance to provide essential pharmacy services in a close-knit healthcare environment with a maximum of 25 patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify medication orders accurately to ensure patient safety Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff effectively Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses to optimize pharmacotherapy Apply pharmacokinetics knowledge for individualized patient care Maintain compliance with hospital and state regulations
Qualifications and Experience:
Current New Mexico pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain a temporary license Minimum of 2 years of inpatient pharmacy experience Strong clinical judgment and communication skills Ability to work independently in a small hospital setting Commitment to excellence in patient-centered care
Schedule:
Day shifts only Three 12-hour shifts per week, from 06:30 to 19:00
Duration:
