Job Description
Salary:
$52.00- 72.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complies with all applicable federal, state laws, pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
- Prepares and dispenses prescription medications, including maintenance of necessary records, accurate third-party adjudication and patient charges, and inventory management.
- Counsels patients and medical providers regarding the nature and use of drugs, dosage, drug interactions, and side effects.
- Participates in patient centered services including immunization, MTM, and wellness programs.
- Supervises personnel in the daily operation of the pharmacy department and holds them accountable for complying with regulatory and company polices.
- Provides guidance and training to pharmacy interns, technicians, and pharmacy associates while working and monitors performance.
- Maintains a neat, clean, and organized workstation at all times.
- Completes required continuing education programs as required by state law.
- Achievement of financial goals such as sales, gross profit maximization as well as minimization of shrink and supply expense.
- Maintain security of all controlled substances
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Licensed and registered Pharmacist in good standing within the state of practice.
- Immunization Certification or agreement by pharmacist to complete.
- Must have a Valid Driver's License.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must submit to DL Monitoring.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
style="list-style-type:disc- -5-year Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy
- General knowledge of pharmacy computer systems and automated dispensing systems style="list-style-type:disc
- -Ability to communicate effectively: verbal, written and electronic.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage others.
- Ability to assign, prioritize, and evaluate the work of others.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
