Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Supervising Pharmacist, where you will lead and oversee pharmacy operations to ensure the highest standards of patient care and medication safety. This pivotal role combines clinical expertise with leadership responsibilities, empowering you to influence positive health outcomes across diverse patient populations. As a Supervising Pharmacist, you will manage pharmacy staff, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and collaborate closely with healthcare providers to deliver exceptional pharmaceutical services in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise will drive operational excellence and foster a culture of continuous improvement and compassionate patient service. Responsibilities Supervise daily pharmacy operations, ensuring adherence to all legal, safety, and quality standards. Lead and mentor pharmacy technicians and staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment. Oversee medication dispensing processes, including compounding medications and preparing IV infusions with aseptic techniques. Conduct patient assessments, provide medication counseling, and support clinical pharmacy initiatives such as immunizations and pain management programs. Manage inventory control, including stock levels of pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and ensuring proper storage conditions. Utilize pharmacy software, EMR (Electronic Medical Records), and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems to document patient interactions accurately. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and privacy at all times. Collaborate with healthcare professionals on medical management plans. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and pharmacology to support effective patient care. Participate in quality assurance activities related to medication administration, immunizations, IV insertion techniques, and aseptic procedures. Qualifications Valid pharmacist license in good standing with relevant state board requirements. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and pharmacology principles. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality. Experience in immunizations administration and IV insertion procedures is preferred. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise pharmacy technicians effectively.
Pay:
$60.00 - $68.00 per hour
