24 hours per week Key Responsibilities Review medication orders for accuracy, safety, and appropriateness based on patient profiles Provide pharmaceutical services in compliance with hospital policies and professional standards Promote medication education, patient safety, and uphold patient rights Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare team members Adhere to infection control, performance improvement, and risk management procedures Exercise sound clinical judgment and prioritize tasks efficiently Oversee and direct pharmacy assistants and pharmacy transporters Demonstrate flexibility with staffing needs and changing assignments Implement cost-containment strategies in pharmaceutical services Engage in training, in-services, departmental projects, and quality improvement initiatives Perform other pharmacy-related duties as assigned by leadership Qualifications and Desired Experience Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy Active New York pharmacist license in good standing upon hire Knowledge of medication-delivery systems and medical terminology Strong communication, organizational, and clinical decision-making skills Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team Commitment to patient safety, professionalism, and customer service excellence Availability to work an alternate schedule with varying daytime hours This position offers a unique opportunity for a licensed pharmacist to contribute to a dynamic hospital environment with a flexible per diem schedule.
