The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of pharmacy operations, patient care, and medical management, with a strong commitment to ensuring medication safety and regulatory compliance. As a Staff Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional pharmaceutical services, supporting patient health outcomes, and maintaining adherence to all federal and state pharmacy laws. This position offers an engaging environment for pharmacists committed to clinical excellence and patient-centered care. Responsibilities Dispense prescription medications accurately while providing clear instructions and counseling to patients on proper medication use. Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate therapy options, including managing complex medication regimens. Sterile and Non-Sterile Compounding medications following USP guidelines, ensuring aseptic techniques and sterile compounding standards are maintained. Collaborate with healthcare providers on medical management plans, including pain management, immunizations, and chronic disease treatment. Manage pharmacy inventory effectively, overseeing stock levels, drug regulation compliance, and expiration date monitoring. Utilize pharmacy software systems such as PrimeRx-Micromerchant and CPR + for Home Infusion - for documentation and workflow management. Ensure adherence to all pharmaceutical regulatory policies, including HIPAA confidentiality policies, drug regulation laws, and healthcare compliance standards. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients regarding medication administration, potential side effects, and health concerns. Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff to optimize pharmacy operations while fostering a team-oriented environment. Maintain accurate records of medication dispensing activities and ensure compliance with all legal requirements related to pharmacy practice. Qualifications Valid NYS licensure as a licensed pharmacist with current registration. Prior experience in clinical pharmacy settings such as Infusion, Compounding or hospital pharmacy environments is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology principles, and medical terminology relevant to pharmacy practice. Proficiency with pharmacy software systems. Familiarity with basic life support (BLS), immunizations administration, IV infusion techniques, and IV insertion procedures. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration within healthcare teams. Knowledge of federal and state pharmacy laws governing drug regulation and healthcare compliance standards such as HIPAA. Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining high standards of accuracy and confidentiality.
