Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract Join a respected hospital pharmacy team seeking an experienced Night Shift Pharmacist for a 13+ week contract assignment. This role is ideal for pharmacists with recent inpatient hospital experience who thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment and enjoy working independently overnight while collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and pharmacy technicians to deliver exceptional patient care. Work Schedule 7 nights on / 7 nights off Thursday night through Wednesday night 8:00 PM - 7:30 AM 13+ week contract assignment Key Responsibilities Review, interpret, verify, and dispense medication orders accurately Monitor and manage patient medication therapies for safety and effectiveness Provide clinical drug information to physicians, nurses, patients, and caregivers Participate in emergency response situations and assist with medication preparation Supervise and coordinate pharmacy technician workflow during overnight operations Ensure compliance with hospital policies, pharmacy regulations, and quality standards Support safe medication practices and contribute to patient-centered care initiatives Maintain accurate documentation and pharmacy records Experience Required Minimum 1 year of recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience preferred Experience with medication verification, IV review, and clinical pharmacy operations Ability to work independently in an overnight hospital setting Strong communication, critical thinking, and time management skills Education & Licensure Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited program Active Ohio Pharmacist license in good standing required Additional Qualifications Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams Commitment to patient safety, service excellence, and quality care Comfortable working in a fast-paced acute care environment Ability to meet the physical demands of a hospital pharmacy setting or reach out for further inquiry: (713) 987-3641 Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled
