Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract Two Staffing Pharmacist openings are available for a contract assignment at a 222-bed hospital with an average daily census of 120 patients. This role requires a licensed pharmacist in Ohio with a strong background in inpatient hospital pharmacy services.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Every 6th weekend on call coverage
Key Responsibilities:
Verify inpatient medication orders to ensure accuracy and safety Oversee sterile, non-sterile, and hazardous compounding processes Participate in codes and provide pharmacotherapy support during emergencies Collaborate with nursing and provider staff to optimize medication management Dispense medications and offer patient education as needed Support the pharmacy team, including medication preparation, delivery, and daily operations
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Active Ohio Pharmacist License Experience with inpatient hospital pharmacy, including Computerized Provider Order Entry (CPOE) verification, preferably using Cerner EHR (training provided) Knowledge of antibiotic and renal dosing adjustments Familiarity with sterile/non-sterile/hazardous compounding and monitoring Strong time management and prioritization skills Ability to work with automated systems such as Pyxis (Automated Dispensing Cabinets) Benefits of this role include gaining valuable experience in a hospital setting utilizing advanced technology and contributing to high-quality patient care.
