Job Description

Kettering Health Network is seeking a Radiopharmacist to support our faith-based, patient-centered care across the Greater Dayton region. In this role, you will compound, dispense, and quality-check radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring compliance with USP, NRC, and state board regulations. You will collaborate with nuclear medicine, radiology, and clinical teams to optimize imaging quality and patient safety. Responsibilities include dose preparation and calibration, radiation safety oversight, documentation, inventory control, equipment monitoring, and staff education. You'll support continuous improvement and uphold our Christ-centered mission of compassionate, high-quality care. Responsibilities Compound and dispense radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic use Calibrate and verify doses to ensure accuracy and patient safety Maintain compliance with NRC, state board, USP, and institutional regulations Oversee radiation safety practices and monitor exposure controls Manage inventory, ordering, and proper storage of radioactive materials Document all compounding, dispensing, and quality control activities Collaborate with nuclear medicine, radiology, and clinical teams Participate in staff education on radiopharmaceutical use and safety Monitor and troubleshoot radiopharmacy equipment and QC systems Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives Required Skills Radiopharmaceutical compounding Dose calibration and measurement Radiation safety and protection Quality control and assurance Regulatory compliance (NRC, USP, State Board) Aseptic technique and sterile compounding Inventory and controlled substance management Nuclear medicine workflow support Documentation and record-keeping Pharmacy information and dispensing systems
