Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Direct Hire A growing specialty pharmacy is seeking experienced IV Pharmacists to join their expanding operation in Columbus, OH. This closed-door Long Term Care pharmacy specializes in sterile compounding and complex clinical therapies for chronic and critical conditions.
Two positions are available:
IV Lead Pharmacist (1st shift): Monday-Friday, flexible 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. or 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. IV Staff Pharmacist (2nd shift): Monday-Friday, flexible 4:30 p.m.-12:00 a.m. or 6:00 p.m.-2:30 a.m. Candidates must hold an active Ohio pharmacist license to be considered. This is a direct hire opportunity with an immediate start.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, check, and dispense sterile IV medications, including hazardous drugs, TPN, IVIg, and biologics, following USP 797/800 and other regulatory requirements. Conduct clinical evaluations of drug orders, assessing for proper dosage, interactions, and compatibility; monitor patient responses and adjust therapies accordingly. Educate patients on medication administration, therapy management, and side effect mitigation. Maintain cleanroom standards and ensure strict compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and facilitate timely medication delivery. Manage prior authorizations and specialized patient support services.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven experience in sterile compounding and IV pharmacotherapy. Deep familiarity with USP guidelines and regulatory compliance. Strong clinical assessment skills, especially in complex disease management such as oncology, immunology, or transplant. Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration. Ability to thrive in a growth-focused environment with attention to detail.
