Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Per Diem Seeking a skilled Pharmacist to provide per diem vacation coverage at a busy retail pharmacy. This role requires a detail-oriented professional to manage high prescription volume while maintaining accuracy and efficiency within a supportive team environment.

Location:

Wooster, OH Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM (Pharmacy hours 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM; no lunch closure) Vacation coverage dates needed: August 10-14, September 14-18, and November 25

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately verify and check over 200 prescriptions daily using PioneerRx software Perform data entry on a high volume of prescriptions Answer phone calls professionally and assist customers promptly Verify and sign for controlled and narcotic drug deliveries Collaborate with three full-time pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and operational standards

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

Current, valid Ohio pharmacist license in good standing Minimum of 1 year recent retail pharmacy experience Proficiency with pharmacy software systems, preferably PioneerRx Strong attention to detail with excellent data verification skills Effective communication abilities and customer service orientation This position is ideal for licensed pharmacists seeking flexible, per diem work to supplement their schedule.
