Pharmacy Staff Essential Job Responsibilities:
Comply with all applicable company policies and procedures Service and satisfy customers' health care needs in and out of the pharmacy area Maintain professional rapport with ordering physicians Process prescriptions in a timely and accurate manner Coordinate/implement the training and development of pharmacy technicians, intern, and other pharmacists Provide counseling and guidance to staff as needed Perform annual pharmacy employee evaluations Maintain inventory levels Participate in store operational meetings Pull outdated, damaged and recalled merchandise and prepare for return Maintain daily and weekly reports Ensure compliance with all Federal and State laws, rules and regulations Perform other duties as assigned
Education:
Graduate of an accredited
College of Pharmacy Experience:
One year Pharmacist experience preferred.
Other Requirements:
BSPh License and hold a current
Ohio Pharmacist License Performance Requirements:
Knowledge:
Knowledge of organization services available to customers. Knowledge of product location within the store to be able to direct customers. Knowledge of phone system, especially calls for refills and new prescriptions.
Skills:
Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to learn the proper use of mechanical equipment utilized in this position. Ability to talk with other healthcare professionals in a professional, businesslike manner.
Abilities:
To handle stressful situations in a professional manner. Ability to work in a fast paced environment for extended periods of time. Ability to adapt to change. Ability to meet continuing education requirements. Ability to occasionally lift/move items up to 75pounds.
Equipment Operated:
Pill counting machines, computers, standard retail machines to include POS system, telephones, copy machines, fax machines.
Work Environment:
This position is in a fast paced, retail pharmacy environment. Also entails evening and weekend work.
Mental/Physical Requirements:
