The role involves overseeing and verifying technicians' compound preparations rather than direct hands-on compounding, requiring a solid background and experience in non-sterile compounding processes.

Responsibilities:

Verify accuracy and compliance of compounded non-sterile preparations according to master formula worksheets. Implement and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies to maintain patient safety and regulatory compliance. Ensure cleaning and garbing procedures align with company policies. Perform necessary calculations and complete all required documentation. Operate production equipment efficiently, following established policies. Confirm the correct aseptic techniques are utilized. Prepare work areas completely before production begins. Monitor computerized and technical equipment to uphold quality standards. Maintain the quality, purity, and potency of compounded medications. Conduct quality control tests and inspections for preparation accuracy. Stay updated on new compounding methods, formulations, and technologies. Participate in ongoing professional development and learning related to compounding pharmacy.

Qualifications:

Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist license. Recent pharmacy experience. Proven background in non-sterile compounding.

Schedule:
