Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A 13-week contract opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacist to provide essential medication management services within a large 500-bed hospital setting. This role offers a variable days/afternoon schedule with an immediate start. Responsibilities include order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, collaborating with physicians to optimize patient care, and applying pharmacokinetic principles to individualize treatment plans. The role requires thorough familiarity with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems to ensure seamless workflow and accurate documentation. The ideal candidate holds a Pennsylvania pharmacist license and brings several years of inpatient pharmacy experience, particularly in managing oncology and chemotherapy medications. Expertise in EPIC is crucial for this position, given its integral use in daily operations. Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with healthcare teams are essential.
