Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract This position offers an opportunity for a part-time, long-term care pharmacist working 24 hours per week in a contract role located in East Butler, PA. The assignment starts with a one-month duration and may be extended based on performance and organizational need. Pharmacy operational hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and verify medication orders entered by data entry technicians for skilled nursing facilities, personal care facilities, and hospice care. Inspect blister-packed, sterile, and non-sterile medications for accuracy and compliance. Respond to clinical inquiries from nursing facility staff, hospice nurses, and physicians via phone. Perform counts and maintain documentation for controlled substances within the perpetual inventory system. Oversee and check emergency medication boxes to ensure readiness. Utilize pharmacy software systems including QS1, Docutrack, and PCC for various pharmacy operations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy. Active pharmacist license in good standing within Pennsylvania. Minimum of one year of pharmacy experience; long-term care experience preferred. Physical capabilities including sitting, standing, fine motor skills, visual acuity, and ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
