Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A 13-week contract opportunity is available at a large 500-bed hospital in the Hanover/York, PA area for a skilled pharmacist with inpatient experience. This role offers a variable day and afternoon schedule to support the hospital's pharmacy operations and patient care teams. The position requires an immediate start.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify medication orders ensuring accuracy and safety Supervise and support pharmacy technicians in daily tasks Consult with physicians to optimize drug therapy and patient outcomes Apply pharmacokinetic principles to individualize patient care Utilize EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems efficiently
Qualifications and Experience:
Active pharmacist license in Pennsylvania Approximately 2 years of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience preferred Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations and medication management Effective communication and collaborative skills for working with healthcare teams Familiarity with EPIC and Pyxis technology is a plus
