Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract To Hire Join a Specialty Compounding Pharmacy specializing in bespoke pharmaceutical preparations tailored to individual patient needs. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers a 13-week term in Kennett Square, PA, with potential for permanent placement. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations in both sterile and non-sterile compounding environments under the guidance of the Pharmacy Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and verify accuracy of sterile and non-sterile compounded preparations following master formula worksheets. Implement and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guarantee patient safety and regulatory compliance. Maintain compliance with USP , , and guidelines for compounding. Monitor cleaning and garbing policies in accordance with company standards. Perform necessary calculations and complete thorough documentation. Operate production and computerized equipment accurately, ensuring quality control. Utilize proper aseptic techniques during compounding. Prepare work areas prior to production and conduct quality control tests to ensure medication purity and potency. Stay updated on emerging compounding techniques and participate in ongoing professional development. Provide patient counseling on compounded, prescription, and over-the-counter medications as needed.
Qualifications:
Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license. Recent pharmacy experience with a background in sterile compounding. Open to new graduates eager to grow their skills in compounding pharmacy.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, with shifts available from 8:00 am-4:30 pm, 9:00 am-5:30 pm, or 10:30 am-7:00 pm.
